BibHQ
Privacy policy
BibHQ ("we") publishes case files that investigate Scripture, on this website and in the BibHQ Android app. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What you can do without an account
You can read the published case files, the public Case Q&A and the community preview without signing in. We do not ask visitors for any personal information.
Signing in
Readers sign in with their Google account. Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us. Your email address is never shown to other readers.
What we store when you use BibHQ
Your library, your reading progress (which chapter you reached, shared between the app and the website), your likes and comments, the case files you viewed, the questions you report to BibHQ and the topics and replies you write in the community. You can choose to post questions and case files as Anonymous: your name is then never shown publicly.
Donations
Card payments are made on the secure page of our payment provider, DPO; BibHQ never receives your card details. For Mobile Money, the number you enter is sent to DPO to request the payment and is stored only in masked form. We keep the amount, the date, the reference and the status of each donation.
How we use your information
To run your account, keep your progress and library, answer your questions, moderate the community, process donations and keep the service secure. We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising.
Who can see it
BibHQ staff can see what they need to run the service (for example to answer a reported case or to moderate the community). Our service providers (hosting and database, Google sign-in, DPO for payments) process data on our behalf.
Keeping and deleting your information
We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account and the information linked to it at any time: in the app (Me → Privacy & account → Delete my account) or on the "Delete your account" page of this website. Donation records are kept for accounting, no longer linked to you.
Children
BibHQ is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy; the date below shows the latest version.
Delete your account
You can delete your BibHQ account yourself, in the app or on the Delete your account page.
